The Lending Cupboard is recruiting a Volunteer Coordinator, which may be the fulfilling and rewarding position you seek! The Lending Cupboard has an excellent opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator. This is a 25 hours per week position, leading and growing an already-established group of volunteers. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and be flexible in an ever-evolving environment. They will be able to demonstrate success in motivating people in a team setting. The incumbent will also possess and demonstrate high enthusiasm, creativity and energy and be a self-starter. The right person will have the skills and always be open to continuous learning with the ability to develop and implement initiatives to Recruit, Retain & Recognize the value of volunteers!

• Previous training or education in volunteer management is an asset
• Experience scheduling, training, and working with people and volunteer committees/boards
• Ambitious lifelong learner
• Flexible schedule to accommodate the occasional evening and weekend events
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated success volunteering at, coordinating/planning, and promoting a variety of special events
• Demonstrated ability to work alongside community partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicable software applications.
