Volunteer Opportunity:

Communications & Marketing Assistant (1-Year Commitment)

Perfect for college/university students in Communications, Marketing, PR, or related programs

Are you a creative communicator with a passion for making a difference in your community? The Parent Support Network is looking for a Communications & Marketing Volunteer to help us grow awareness of our free parenting workshops and programs.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while supporting families in your community.

What You'll Do

Social Media Management - Help plan, create, and schedule posts to promote our workshops and events Content Creation - Write and design engaging content for social media, our website, and newsletters Marketing Strategy - Contribute to campaign planning and outreach ideas to reach more parents Key Messaging - Help refine how we tell our story and communicate our impact Community Engagement - Support promotional efforts for special events and partner initiatives Collaborate with Leaders - Work alongside board members and senior Parent Support Network team members to align messaging with our mission and strategic goals

Who We're Looking For

A current college or university student in Communications, PR, Marketing, or a related field Passionate about helping families and building stronger communities Comfortable using platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Canva A strong writer with an eye for storytelling and visual design Available to commit 3-5 hours per week for a 1-year volunteer term (remote, with opportunities to support occasional local events when possible), with downtime in July & August.
