Stewart Park Festival Committee - Volunteer Chairperson

The Stewart Park Festival Committee is recruiting for the volunteer position of Chairperson.

The Stewart Park Festival is an open access, family-friendly 3 day music festival in Stewart Park, a beautiful park by the Tay River in Perth. Heading into its 35th year, the festival has grown into one of the Town's premier community events showcasing a diverse range of music on several stages, an arts, crafts and food market, children's activities and licensed after-hours music. The mandate of the Festival is to provide a quintessential laid back summer celebration of music and community. By attracting thousands of attendees from near and far the festival promotes the Town of Perth as a bustling, four-season destination and Ontario's leading historic downtown.

The mandate of the SPFC is the overall planning and organization of the Stewart Park Festival, with administrative support from the Perth BIA, logistical support from the Town of Perth and community support from over 120 volunteers during the festival.

Community involvement and engagement

Event Planning

Event Marketing, publicity and social media

Fundraising through grants, sponsorship and donations

Safety, Security, Liability, Compliance

The new SPF Chairperson will become a member of the Perth BIA Board of Directors and will be required to attend the monthly BIA board meetings, reporting to the BIA on Festival plans, operations and finances

The successful applicant will receive strong support from an experienced and committed team of volunteer committee members, who are each responsible for coordinating and managing a major component of the festival:

Artistic Director Jamie Campbell - 3 years

Sponsorship and Donations Coordinator - Diana Bracegirdle - 10 years

Volunteer Coordinator - Tom Nephin (a long time volunteer, this will be Tom's first year in this position)

Wendy Laut Stage Coordinator/MC - David Kroetsch - 2 years
