Volunteer Associate



Contract - 6 Months (25 hours per week)



CONCURRENT INTERNAL/EXTERNAL





Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes (CCCKL) is seeking an organized and community-minded individual to provide administrative support within our Volunteer Department. The successful candidate will assist with volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding, and engagement activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal and administrative skills who is passionate about volunteerism and community service.

This is a six (6) month contract position, with flexible hours up to 25 hours per week. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support special events.



KEY REQUIREMENTS





Volunteer Recruitment and Screening:





Working closely with the Director of People & Culture, assist with volunteer recruitment by monitoring and updating the volunteer database, coordinating screening processes, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and completing reference and background checks as requested.



Collect and organize required documentation to complete volunteer files.



Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and confidentiality standards.



Onboarding and Engagement:





We welcome student applicants.



Schedule and attend volunteer orientations as requested



Support volunteers in understanding CCCKL's mission, values, and program expectations.



Administrative:





Update and maintain accurate volunteer databases tracking.



Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources and Volunteer Services team.




KEY REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES






Experience in volunteer coordination, recruitment, or community engagement considered an asset.



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Strong organizational and time management abilities.



Proficiency in Microsoft Office and volunteer management systems.



Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events.




WAGE:





The wage range for this exciting opportunity is $17.91 - $18.75. Selected candidates will be appropriately placed on the organizations wage grid based on skill, knowledge and experience.
