First established in 1999 as WMVA, Volleyball Winnipeg is a community-based, volunteer-driven non-profit organization based in?Winnipeg, Manitoba. Volleyball Winnipeg is dedicated to providing exceptional volleyball training and experiences to all.

Responsibilities

• Carry out management duties
• Coordinate competitive programs
• Develop well-planned competitive schedules and programs
• Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions
• Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games
• Participate in coaching clinic instruction
• Analyze and evaluate athletes' or team's performance
• Observe and evaluate prospective athletes' skills and performance

Requirements

• Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey instructions clearly.
• Must be able to pass a background check to work with children or vulnerable adults.
• Patience and adaptability to work with individuals of varying skill levels.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's progress.
• Adapt training plans as needed to accommodate individual needs and challenges.
• Promote our programs through social media and other communication channels.

Assessment and Compensation:

• Prospective instructors will be evaluated by our assessor through interviews, practical demonstrations, and scenario-based questions, along with a mandatory background check.
• Salary and compensation will be determined based on the assessment results, ensuring that we reward excellence and dedication.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:

• Volleyball Instructor/coach: 2 years (preferred)
