Job Description

We are a music school in Port Coquitlam looking for a voice/singing instructor to add to our team on 2 days a week.

You'll be hired as a contractor for long term basis based on an hourly pay rate between $30-40 depending on your education level, work experience, and the level of RCM students you can teach.

Must have:

University/college level education in music, majoring in voice Knowledge of RCM is an asset - to teach and prep students for exams Must have at least 2+ years of teaching experience, to children and adults in an educational setting Patient and empathetic towards students, ability to tailor the lesson toward the student's goals and needs Ability to commute to Port Coquitlam easily for the given shifts and be punctual Ability to be tech savvy to manage given teaching schedule on its website/app (training provided) Can tailor teaching method according to student's goals/needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students/parents Positive attitude toward students and staff Passionate about teaching music and also preparing students for our annual recitals Organizational skills, team player qualities, cooperative skills with managers and staff
This job is meant for individuals who like to grow with a company and to stay long term to teach as our customers don't like to change teachers often. Those with a stable plan to live in this city and with a permanent residency are preferred over those with a work permit.

Speaking more than one language is a valuable asset, particularly Mandarin or Korean.

Must be available to commit at least 3-8pm fully to work on a weekday at our school. Weekends are flexible however.
