Voice Instructor / Choir Director - Chilliwack Academy of Music

Part-Time | Contract | On-Site in Chilliwack, BC

The Chilliwack Academy of Music, a non-profit community music school and core partner in the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, is seeking a passionate

Voice Instructor

with

experience directing choirs

to join our faculty.

Responsibilities:

Teach private and/or group voice lessons to students of varying skill levels. Direct youth or adult choirs and assist with vocal ensemble programming. Develop engaging lesson plans that support vocal technique, musical expression, and confidence. Participate in performances, recitals, and community outreach events as part of the Academy's programming.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Voice Performance, Music Education, Conducting, or equivalent (e.g.,

ARCT or higher

). Experience directing choirs or vocal ensembles. Strong musicianship and piano skills for teaching and accompaniment. Positive, collaborative teaching style and excellent communication skills. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hours & Compensation:

Part-time (hours based on student enrollment). Compensation is based on experience and education level.

Pay: $44.00-$50.75 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week

Work Location: In person
