Tri-Star Technical is a Winnipeg based company, which specializes in voice, data, fiber optic, security, audio, video cabling services and the design and implementation of wireless network systems. Our highly trained technicians have experience in virtually every type of working environment; commercial, medical, industrial and retail. We offer a competitive salary, benefit package and training. We are presently seeking personnel to fill the following position; Voice/ Data/ Fiber Structured Cabling Technician Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Installation, termination and testing of telecommunication cabling \xc2\xb7 Troubleshooting, repairing and servicing of installed telecommunication cabling \xc2\xb7 Install network racks and cabinets \xc2\xb7 Interpret and execute blue prints and construction drawings, work orders, and special requirements \xc2\xb7 Be customer oriented and provide professional customer service when fulfilling customer requests \xc2\xb7 Report and update project managers on state of projects \xc2\xb7 Complete detailed and accurate paperwork as required \xc2\xb7 Be creative, adaptable, and flexible in problem solving and completing tasks \xc2\xb7 May be required to work evenings, weekends, and overtime \xc2\xb7 May be required to travel Required Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 A valid Voice Data Video \xe2\x80\x9cM\xe2\x80\x9d Class license Experience installing data, voice, security and video cabling \xc2\xb7 Ability to install and test multimode and single-mode fiber optic cables, complete mechanical and fusion splicing \xc2\xb7 A valid Manitoba driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with access to a vehicle \xc2\xb7 Commitment to following safe work practices \xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communication \xc2\xb7 Ability to read and interpret blue prints/construction drawings and technical manuals \xc2\xb7 Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces \xc2\xb7 Strong organization skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to work alone and as part of a team \xc2\xb7 Must be physically fit including the ability to lift heavy objects \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of industry standards \xc2\xb7 Clean criminal record and background check Desired Skills: \xc2\xb7 First aid training \xc2\xb7 Experience in access control systems, CCTV systems, network and computer installation and troubleshooting. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $16.64-$30.00 per hour Benefits:
