The Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant will collaborate with the vocational rehabilitation team to facilitate and support service delivery. This position offers an opportunity to positively impact the lives of our clients by aiding unemployed individuals in receiving services to reintegrate into the workforce. Moreover, you will play a vital role in preforming essential administration functions, ensuring seamless daily operations and compliance with Lifemark's contractual commitments. Responsibilities include maintaining effective communication with referral resources, clients, team members, employers, community resources, and the public. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in administration and coordination skills.
Responsibilities:
Facilitating essential skills, employment preparation, and occupational skills workshops
Develop general and targeted resumes and cover letters
Deliver mock interviews and job coaching sessions
Conduct intake and screening functions; reviewing, collecting and verifying information
Delivery of workshops for job search related topics
Timely report writing, in accordance with current templates, guides, standards and processes
Coordination and communication of services and appointments with clients, referral sources, external resources, and Lifemark team members
Intake and booking for various vocational rehabilitation services
Keep accurate and timely records using internal and external systems and paper and electronic files; all in accordance with current templates, guides, standards and processes
Clerical duties including material preparation, ordering, workshop supply coordinating
Ensuring effective and ongoing communication with identified stakeholders, including participants, professionals, referral sources, and amongst a strong interdisciplinary team
Minimum Qualifications:
University Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences or related field including Community Rehabilitation, Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Social Work, Education, etc. (preferred)
Career and employment counselling, job development/placement and marketing, case management, government programming facilitation experience is an asset
Proficient in using a variety computer programs and systems - Intermediate to advanced skills
Proficient in using social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter
Possessing exceptional clerical and administrative abilities, with the capacity to effectively multi-task, organize, and efficiently handle a dynamic workload.
Outstanding teamwork and interpersonal skills
An excellent understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity
Security background check required
