Your pathway to success starts here with a team driven by dedication and customer focus, fueling continuous improvement through value- added services, technological advancements, and employee training.The VMI Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our 5-person VMI Team in the Halifax region.The key responsibilities of the VMI Supervisor include:

  • Overseeing Daily VMI Operations:
  • Managing and backfilling where needed on day-to-day activities to ensure the VMI Teams runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Managing delivery schedules while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Ensuring all team members are highly trained and competent with CribMaster and SA solutions
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identifying areas for improvement in processes and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensuring that all operations comply with regulatory and safety standards
  • Maintaining vehicle and equipment standards
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicating with stakeholders about shifting company priorities and projects
  • Employee Motivation:
  • Inspiring and motivating employees through positive encouragement
  • Leading a team of delivery personnel to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
The ideal candidate possesses:
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary degree in logistics, business or related field would be considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of logistics or delivery experience
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership & team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving & conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficiency in logistics and software tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Work Environment & Travel Requirements:
  • This role involves working in both office and field environments
  • Travel to other Canadian sites may be required to support implementation projects
  • Travel for vendor training within the U.S and Canada may be necessary
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work to meet delivery schedules
  • A background check and security clearances are required to access certain customer sites (restricted area pass)
  • A drivers Class 1 license or equivalent and access to a vehicle is required (mileage is reimbursed when travelling to customer sites)
