What Would You Do?

Reporting to the Vice President Studio Development, the Visual Merchandising Coordinator will work as part of the studio team and oversee individual project designs from start to finish. In collaboration with our Studio Partners and Sales team they will create floor plans and assist in re-creating the Palliser Studio brand across the marketplace.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position would include:

  • Using AutoCAD, the designer will meet with sales reps and retailers to plan and create the floor plan design.
  • The designer will need a strong understanding of space management and customer flow within a retail setting
  • Ability to effectively communicate cross departmentally to help develop merchandising plans
  • A good understanding of furniture retail prices and choosing correlating priced products
  • A strong aesthetic sense
  • Create purchase orders
  • Effective project management skills
  • This position requires the ability to travel two weeks out of the month
  • Other duties as assigned.
What Do You Bring?
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • Through understanding of Auto CAD. Minimum of 3 years working experience using AutoCAD.
  • Ability to create 2D and 3D images using AutoCAD as part of a growing library
  • Experience creating and working with AutoCAD plans for commercial buildings.
  • Background in interior design
  • Ability to merchandise occasional tables, rugs and accessories with Palliser upholstery, understanding scale and retail pricing.
  • Retail experience would be an asset
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must possess multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong communication skills, ability to recommend products and design direction
