We are looking to welcome new Visual Merchandising & Activities Co-Workers to our amazing Communication & Interior Design team based in IKEA Lakeside.

You will be passionate about providing inspiring home furnishing solutions for our customers, offering ideas for a single product or a combination of products that will support a convenient shopping experience and improve people\'s life at home.

The role is hands on and involves interacting with our customers on the shop floor

WHAT WE OFFER

• Permanent contract working 39 hours a week
• Shifts 7am - 15:30pm. Monday to Friday
• This role however requires availability to work occasional late evenings, weekends, nightshift and early morning shifts may be required to support our range changes throughout the year.
• Competitive Salary of \xc2\xa324,400 per annum

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED TO HAVE

• You have an education in visual merchandising , industrial design or experience of working as a visual merchandiser, preferably within a home furnishings environment.
• You are able to inspire, motivate and engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability.
• You continually seek new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same.
• Challenging your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and, at the same time, exceed the expectations of customers.
• Knowledge of in design planning software including, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is preferred but not essential.

WHAT YOU\'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
• Stay updated on trends in home furnishing & retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.
