Job Description


The Visual Communications Designer is pivotal in creating visually compelling and effective designs to communicate key messages, enhance brand identity, and engage target audiences. They are responsible for developing various design assets, including graphics, illustrations, presentations, and multimedia content.

The Visual Communications Designer(s) will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver impactful visual solutions that align with the organization\'s objectives.

Experience with marketing, brand building, design, and communications strategy for print, web, LinkedIn (or publishing on other social channels) and internal/external identity. Design software skills, basic content editing on Canva and ppt, and experience using online marketing and analytics tools. Candidates with video production/post-production experience have an advantage, but this is not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities

Design Development:
  • Create visually appealing designs for various marketing and communication materials, including brochures, presentations, infographics, social media graphics, advertisements, and other promotional assets.
  • Incorporate branding guidelines and maintain consistency in design elements across different platforms and materials.
Conceptualization and Ideation:
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to conceptualize and develop visual concepts that effectively communicate key messages and support marketing campaigns or initiatives.
  • Brainstorm and contribute innovative ideas for visual storytelling, user experience, and engagement strategies
Graphic and Multimedia Production:
  • Use design software and tools to produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and multimedia content.
  • Edit and retouch images, create custom illustrations, and develop engaging animations or interactive elements for digital platforms.
Brand Identity and Guidelines:
  • Ensure brand consistency in all visual communications by adhering to established brand guidelines, typography, color schemes, and visual standards.
  • Assist in the development and evolution of brand identity assets, such as logos, icons, and templates.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and product teams, to gather requirements, understand project objectives, and deliver design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or agencies, if necessary, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of design assets.
Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct quality checks on design deliverables to ensure accuracy, adherence to specifications, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Seek feedback from stakeholders and make necessary revisions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Understand and maintain work priorities.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Additional tasks or duties may be assigned, as needed, to support the Company\xe2\x80\x99s objectives
Skills / Experience / Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a visual designer or in a similar role, preferably with exposure to transportation, logistics and supply chain.
  • Proficient in using design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and multimedia editing software.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and demonstrating creative thinking, attention to detail, and technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of current design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
