Reporting to the Regional Manager, Virtual Care Services, the Virtual Care Analyst is responsible for the development, deployment, operation and maintenance of new and existing Virtual Care services, programs, and technologies in collaboration with clinical leaders, service and program managers and directors, physicians, and staff.

As an integral regional member of a multi-disciplinary team, the Virtual Care Analyst works to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and sustainability of Virtual Care services throughout Island Health programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a degree in Health Information Sciences, Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Science and five (5) years\' recent experience in project management, business and healthcare systems analysis and design, and the use of formal systems delivery methodologies.

Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to maintain knowledge of new technologies as they are introduced to the workplace.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation, interviewing, and facilitating skills.
  • Effective consulting skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of systems analysis and design techniques.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to organize workload and priorities.

Additional information for applicants

This position will support a large and complex project team and multiple project streams addressing fundamental system redesign through the implementation of regional virtual services, including Virtual Urgent Primary Care. The successful applicant should have extensive healthcare project experience
