Role Description
This is a flexible part-time on-site contract role for a Violin Teacher located in Waterloo, ON. The Violin Teacher will be responsible for providing individual instruction to students in a one-on-one setting, designing engaging tailored lesson plans to meet students' needs, teaching music theory and performance techniques, and preparing students for recitals and examinations. The teacher will also engage with students and their families to track progress and provide ongoing support and encouragement, and strive to manage classroom dynamics and encourage students to develop a life-long love for learning and of playing music.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent, such as A.R.C.T.) in Music (violin)
Knowledge of Music Theory and Music Education
3+ years prior experience in teaching violin to students of various ages and skill levels in a private setting is an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience and dedication to student development
Demonstrated ability to engage and educate children effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young learners.
Responsibilities
