Maven TechLab is a Vancouver-based education company delivering hands-on

STEM, coding, robotics, AI exploration, and maker programs

for children ages 5-13. We partner with schools and community organizations to run after-school programs and seasonal camps (Winter, Spring, Summer).

Position Overview

Maven Education is seeking a passionate and reliable Violin Instructor to join our team for the 2026 season. This role offers opportunities for long-term collaboration and professional development. Key Responsibilities

Teach after-school violin classes to small groups of elementary students Develop an age-appropriate violin curriculum suitable for young learners Deliver engaging and well-structured violin lessons Foster a love for music and make learning enjoyable Build strong relationships with students to support their performances and recitals Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment Provide brief feedback to parents at the end of each class and report student progress to the program leader Support after-school programs and/or seasonal camps as scheduled

Qualifications

Experience teaching, mentoring, or working with children (ages 5-8) Minimum of one year of teaching experience Degree or diploma in Music with a major in Violin, or equivalent training Strong communication and classroom management skills Reliable, punctual, and able to travel to school or program locations Patient, energetic, and comfortable leading hands-on activities

Assets (Not Required):

Experience in teaching group music classes is an asset Proficiency in English is preferred; Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus Experience working in after-school programs or camps
