Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to residents in home care settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, medication management, and emotional support for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Prior experience in senior care or working with people with disabilities is highly valued.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications following proper protocols and medical terminology guidelines Support patients with dementia or hospice needs by providing companionship and specialized care Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning duties Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting and mobility assistance Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive case management and patient care plans Document care activities accurately and report any changes in condition promptly Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being

Skills

Prior experience in nursing home, senior care, or home care environments preferred Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and medication administration procedures Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities and those requiring assisted living support Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care protocols Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and maintain physical stamina for long shifts Capable of meal preparation tailored to individual needs Organizational skills for managing multiple residents' needs efficiently Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
Job Type: Casual

Pay: $17.23-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 20 per week
