About Camp Arowhon
Camp Arowhon is a long-standing children's summer camp set in the natural beauty of Algonquin Park. We are seeking a creative
Videographer
to tell the story of camp life through engaging, high-quality video content for social media, marketing, and our website.
Role Overview
The Videographer's main responsibility is to create
weekly videos of camp life
for social media, along with a wide range of video projects that document and promote different aspects of the camp experience.
This is a
live-on-site role
, fully embedded in camp life.
Key Responsibilities:
Create weekly camp life videos for social media platforms
Film and edit a variety of video content, including:
Day-in-the-life videos (Camper, Counsellor, Instructor, Tripper)
Staff life and staff experience videos
Pre-camp training documentation
Relationship-focused content showing community and connection
Produce end-of-session highlight videos (approx. 10 minutes):
Fun, energetic mix of video and photos
Used for families and internal camp archives
Capture video content for the new camp website, including:
Staff features
Program highlights
Camp culture and values
Create site showcase videos and brochure-style content for:
Weddings
Retreats
Off-season rentals
Including cabins, communal spaces, and outdoor areas
Organize and maintain a video database, categorized by:
Uploading and organizing videos
Maintaining a consistent, organized presence
Assist with social media content planning and scheduling where video is required
Collaborate with camp leadership to plan future video needs
Ideal Candidate
Strong videography and video editing portfolio
Comfortable shooting, editing, and delivering content independently
Skilled in short-form social media video storytelling
Organized, reliable, and deadline-oriented
Comfortable working with children and in dynamic outdoor environments
Able to live and work on-site in a remote, nature-based setting
Experience with camps, lifestyle brands, or documentary-style video is a strong asset
