Job Description

GreenPump Energy is a fast-growing local heat pump installation company, and we are looking for a

creative, hands-on Videographer / Content Creator

to join our team. You will create engaging short-form content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok that showcases our installations, customer stories, educational topics, and fun brand moments.

This role combines

on-site filming, short-form video editing, and weekly content publishing

.

Content Filming



Drive to various locations across HRM (Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, etc.) to film installations, customer stories, behind-the-scenes content, and team videos. Capture high-quality photos and videos suitable for social media (Reels, TikTok, short videos). Handle filming independently with good judgement on angles, lighting, and framing.

Video Editing & Production



Produce

4-5 short-form videos per week

and publish them on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Edit and optimize content for each platform (subtitles, hooks, pacing, cover images). Maintain consistent branding and tone across all content.

Content Ideation



Brainstorm creative short video ideas with the team (educational, funny skits, customer testimonials, FAQ content, etc.). Develop simple scripts, outlines, or storyboards when needed. Understand GreenPump Energy's style: local, friendly, authentic, fun.

Social Media Publishing



Upload and publish content weekly on FB/IG/TikTok. Social media management and scheduling content.

Skills



Strong video shooting and editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar). Ability to independently create complete video pieces from concept ? filming ? editing. Understanding of social media video formats and trends (Reels, TikTok short-form style). Valid driver's license and ability to travel for filming (gas reimbursed).

Experience



Experience creating short-form content for brands, clients, or personal channels. Portfolio or sample work required. Familiarity with interview-style shooting, product content, or online storytelling.

Personal Qualities



Highly creative and energetic. Self-starter, able to work independently without constant supervision. Comfortable engaging with people during shoots (customers, technicians, team members). Strong understanding of local Nova Scotia culture (preferred).

Nice to Have



Drone filming experience. Basic graphic design ability (Canva, Photoshop). Experience with lighting, audio recording, and stabilizers. Social media management or content scheduling experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
