Based in Guelph, Ward 1 Studios is a full-service production agency offering video, photography, and animation. Our business is based on the principle that collaboration leads to better results. We have hand-selected leading talent in Guelph to form our creative roster. Our team has extensive experience in delivering engaging stories that are crafted to inspire. We are proud of our roster of clients, many of whom have continued to work with us from our first year of operation in 2016. They represent a range of sectors, with concentrations in health care, government, agri-food, tourism, and sports. Growth of our company has created the need for a creator to work closely with our leadership team on a variety of projects.

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented

Video Production Associate

to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in shaping narratives, refining visuals, and bringing creative visions to life. Working closely with directors and producers, you will create content that stands out in a crowded digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with creative directors and producers to execute their vision with precision. Edit video content for commercials, branded content, corporate films, and social campaigns. Craft compelling stories using pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling techniques. Integrate motion graphics, and colour grading to elevate the final product. Optimize edits for different platforms, including broadcast, digital, and social media. Maintain an organized post-production workflow, managing assets and backups. Stay up to date with industry trends, editing techniques, and new software tools. Other duties as assigned (e.g. on-set production assistant)

Requirements

2+ years of professional video editing experience

in an agency, production house, or similar environment.

Proficiency in Davinci Resolve

(After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop knowledge is a plus). Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and emotional engagement. Experience with colour correction, sound design, and motion graphics integration. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
