We're looking for a Part Time Casual Video Operator to help us grow the Rogers Sports & Media brand and connect with our Sportsnet audience. We are looking for a Video Operator who has experience working on fast-paced and fluid live control room shows.

What you will do...

  • Chip, color correct, and monitor video levels on all studio cameras, video monitors, and remote cameras
  • Collaborate with directors, lighting, and make-up to troubleshoot and make adjustments to ensure the best possible on air look
  • Patch cameras to different in-house areas; build, change, and update scene files
  • Operate various CCU's and RCU's
  • Familiarity and knowledge of all aspects of the Broadcast Video signal
  • Maintain departmental documentation as required
  • Continuously examine performance of our internal network systems and processes; identify and act immediately upon inconsistencies to provide solutions
  • Maximize utilization of available resources for the ever-growing requirements of Rogers Sports and Media market leading content offerings, and liaise with management and engineering on all technical maintenance and repair related issues

  • A specialized knowledge of video theory, camera operation, video-matrix setup, waveform/vectorscope alignment
  • Familiarity and knowledge of all aspects of the Broadcast Video signal
  • An ability to work quickly and effectively in a team environment despite obstacles and time pressures.
