About the Role
Contract position for a video editor / video producer to create short-form video ads and display ads for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and TikTok. You will work from detailed scripts and storyboards to produce polished video and static ad content that drives conversions. Videos range from 8-second teasers to 2-minute walkthrough videos.
What You'll Do
Edit and produce short-form video ads (8s-120s) for YouTube, Meta, and TikTok
Create static display ads and banner ads for social media campaigns
Create multiple video/ad variants for different audiences (parents, students)
Combine screen recordings, stock footage, and motion graphics into polished ads
Add text overlays, transitions, captions, and visual effects
Optimize videos and display ads for each platform's specs
Use AI video tools to speed up production
Work on-site with our team on an on-demand basis
Deliver fast turnarounds for campaign launches and A/B testing
Requirements
2+ years experience editing video ads and display ads for social media platforms
Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut)
Proficiency in design software for display ads (Figma, Photoshop, or Canva)
Experience with AI video tools (Runway, Pika, HeyGen, or similar)
Understanding of common ad metrics (CTR, CPC, ROAS, conversion rates)
Experience working with media buying or performance marketing teams
Strong understanding of YouTube, Meta, and TikTok ad specs and best practices
Ability to work from scripts and storyboards
Based in Richmond or Vancouver - able to work on-site as needed
Portfolio/reel required

Display ads or banner ads for social media
Product demo or explainer videos
Preferred
Screen recording and software demo experience
After Effects for motion graphics
Voiceover recording and audio editing
EdTech or SaaS ad experience
