About Uplift Summer Camp

:

The Uplift Summer Camp, hosted by Oasis of Grace Family and Multicultural Centre, is a transformative program dedicated to fostering skill development, personal growth, and community engagement among youth.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Video and Photography Instructor to inspire and guide campers aged 9-15 through creative media projects.

:

The Video and Photography Instructor will develop and deliver engaging media projects, including video editing, photo editing, animation, and storytelling, to inspire creativity and technical skills among campers aged 9-15.
The role requires expertise in tools such as

Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, Canva, ElevenLabs, Leonardo AI

etc.., enthusiasm for creating both long and short-form content and a passion for guiding youth in media arts.

Key Responsibilities

:

Plan and lead hands-on workshops on

video editing, photo editing, animation, and storytelling

. Teach campers to use tools like Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, Canva, ElevenLabs, Leonardo AI for media creation. Guide campers in creating weekly deliverables (e.g., videos, animations, edited photos) for Friday showcases. Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration. Provide mentorship to foster campers' interest and confidence in media production. Collaborate with camp staff to align activities with the camp's objectives. Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during activities. Evaluate program success and provide feedback for future improvement.

Qualifications

:

Proven experience in

video editing, photo editing, animation, or storytelling

(e.g., personal/professional projects, social media content creation). Proficiency with

Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, Canva, ElevenLabs, Leonardo AI

, or similar tools. Experience teaching or mentoring youth in media arts is

preferred

. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Creativity and adaptability to engage campers with diverse learning needs. A passion for inspiring young minds and promoting media arts. Commitment to the mission and values of Oasis of Grace Family and Multicultural Centre. Educational qualification in a media-related field is a plus but not required. Must be a

Canadian citizen or permanent resident between the ages 18 - 30
