Vice President, Total Compensation

Job Description

CGI is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice-President, Total Compensation to lead the development and execution of our global compensation and benefits programs. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this role is instrumental is shaping CGI's total compensation strategy to attract, retain, and reward top talent while ensuring internal equity, market competitiveness and compliance across all regions.

Your future duties and responsibilities



Lead the design and implementation of CGI's total compensation strategy, including base salary, short- and long-term incentives, and benefits programs. Prepare and present compensation materials for the Human Resources Committee (HRC) of the Board of Directors. Support the CHRO with detailed analysis and reporting for Board-level discussions. Prepare annual proxy disclosure relating to compensation and benefit plans. Oversee annual salary reviews, incentive programs, and internal equity process at all levels of the organization. Oversee long-term incentives program, including grants, performance tracking and settlements. Collaborate with senior leaders, finance and legal teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. Conduct market benchmarking to maintain competitive and effective compensation and benefit programs. Supervises worldwide governance of compensation and benefit programs. Act as the escalation point for complex compensation and benefits matters. Ensure global governance and compliance with local laws and regulations. Lead and develop a team of professionals in compensation and benefits.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role



University degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Actuarial Sciences or related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in compensation, including 5+ years in a leadership role with international experience. Strong Strategic leadership, political acumen, and ability to influence at senior levels. Experience in a publicly traded company, including Board and proxy reporting. Excellent analytical skills and ability to simplify complex concepts. Works effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision-making. Ability to effectively plan and coordinate projects with multiple competing priorities. Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
