Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and passionate

Elementary Vice Principal

to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Principal in the daily operations of the elementary division (JK-Grade 5), with a strong focus on instructional leadership, student support, staff supervision, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture grounded in Islamic values.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Principal with day-to-day operations of the elementary division Supervise, support, and evaluate teaching staff (approximately 20 teachers) Oversee student conduct, academic progress, and social-emotional development Lead and support staff in curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and assessment Coordinate report cards, behavior management systems, and staff development Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment aligned with Islamic principles Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff Participate in the planning and execution of school events, assemblies, and initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and OCT Certification (or in progress) Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience; leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of the Ontario Curriculum and early childhood development Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to foster a positive, faith-based learning environment Familiarity with student behavior management and staff coordination Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening First Aid & CPR certification is an asset
