DDS Wireless is seeking a seasoned and strategic executive to lead our
Sales and Marketing
organization as
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
, focused on transforming the transportation industry through our innovative SaaS solutions. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record of driving growth, outperforming in competitive markets, and building high-performing, inclusive teams.
The successful candidate is a passionate, results-oriented leader who will drive growth with new and existing customers, build a focused customer acquisition strategy, and create a business development plan that enables a robust pipeline of new business. The successful candidate is also a leader who understands the need to balance proactive prospecting (hunting) to capture new customers and strong account management (farming) to retain and grow existing customer accounts. The successful candidate will be based in Vancouver, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the CEO to develop and execute a sales strategy for North American region and eventually the global sales
Lead and inspire the Sales and Marketing teams to exceed revenue targets and drive market share.
Achieve sales targets in both the North American and global market utilizing direct sales and/or partners.
Shape and oversee the company's marketing strategy, including brands, digital, and demand generation initiatives.
Explore new business opportunities and build a meaningful sales pipeline, be accountable to maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecast
Model business cases both internally and externally demonstrate the value of DDS solutions to our clients and partners
Manage RFP processes from leading to closing deals for private and public sector customers
Execute national and global sales programs and a go to market strategy
Apply appropriate hardware and software solution selling techniques
Develop and create collateral sales and promotions materials; assist with sales and marketing materials
Effective use of marketing campaigns and resources
Determine emerging user requirements to feed future product release
Follow closely the market and industry trends in each applicable region
Ensure the diligent use keeping the company CRM system (Salesforce) up to date
Lead, develop and mentor the sales and marketing team
Develop and define sales territories and compensation plans
Support the development of sales commission structure and incentive plans
Communicate effectively with the senior management team members
Enhance brand awareness through thought leadership, case studies, and partnerships with industry associations
Coordinate with customer success teams to ensure high retention rates and upsell opportunities
Present sales and marketing performance metrics, forecasts, and strategic insights to the CEO and senior leadership team
What we want from you
More than 15+ years sales experience
Over 8 years' experience in Sales leadership role, with a proven track record of developing and leading a team of Sales representatives and channel partners
Proven success in launching a new SaaS products and scaling revenue
Experience managing enterprise sales cycles and building channel partnerships
Strong network in the logistics, or fleet management industry is a huge plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional presentation skills
Ability to quickly understand Customer needs and contribute meaningful Customer feedback to inform the Company Product Roadmaps Company and Go-to-Market Strategy
Experience dealing with government agencies including influencing, writing, and winning RFI/RFQ/RFPs, then negotiating successful win-win contracts
A strong financial background to develop complex deal assessments and proposal
Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
Travel up to 30% within the US and Canada
Bachelor's degree or greater
Existing transportation and/or fleet management experience would be an asset
