What You Will Do

The Vice President Marketing, Commercial & Public Sector reports to Heather Tulk, Senior Vice President & President of Commercial & Public Sector. This dynamic and seasoned leader will have end-to-end responsibility for delivering our 4P marketing strategy across our Commercial & Public Sector segments which serves customers with 100+ employees across Canada.

This experienced business leader will have a relentless focus on achieving strong and sustainable EBITDA growth in the segment, driving strong interlock with product, sales and customer experience leaders, championing Premiere Sales Organization best practices, and delivering high impact marketing and sales enablement programs including marketing campaigns, sales training efforts, and technology investments.

This leader will be comfortable making the difficult prioritization and trade-off decisions needed to manage an extensive revenue portfolio, across wireless, wireline, industry solutions and emerging technology products and will have experience coaching and leading dynamic and high achieving teams through periods of change.

The Vice President, Commercial & Public Sector Marketing leads the following portfolios:

  • Market Strategy & Planning - Forecasting and reporting for our P&L results and decision insights to support ongoing financial management inside of the business
  • Pricing - Large deal custom pricing, standard pricing, and pricing programs across wireless, wireline, and emerging technology services for customers with 100+ employees
  • Marketing Strategy and Programs - Full marketing accountability for acquisition marketing, base management, and development & launch of all marketing and sales campaigns supporting funnel build and closure for all products
  • National Sales Activation & Take-To-Market - Training, reinforcement, and best practice adoption for our customer-facing sales teams. Development & launch of new programs, product messaging, and customer-facing collateral into channels
  • Systems & Operations - Support the roadmap for our TELUS IQ mobility platform, customer contract management, and our sales technology roadmap

Qualifications

Your Ideal Profile Includes
  • Minimum seven years experience in leading teams with direct revenue and margin accountability for large and diverse portfolios
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in understanding and simplifying complex problems, mobilizing teams and driving targets and outcomes. You are a purpose driven leader, committed to team and community, with resilience, curiosity and grit
  • Demonstrated history of making strategic decisions such as prioritization and deselection of initiatives, investment trade-offs, as well as synthesizing information to enable executive decision making
  • Experience in telecommunications, software as a service, and Enterprise B2B marketing is strongly recommended
  • University degree from a recognized educational institution
