Job Title Vice President, Loan Portfolio Management Credit



What is the opportunity?

As a Vice President on the Loan Portfolio Management \xe2\x80\x93 Credit team you will contribute to the qualitative and quantitative management of the Capital Markets corporate loan portfolio. Working with our partners in Corporate Banking, Risk Management, and Global Credit, you will proactively identify and escalate credit concerns in the loan portfolio to senior management. You will also provide leadership in identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and better sharing of data and information. In this role, you will have the opportunity to refine your credit and communication skills, while developing leadership abilities and a strong understanding of RBC\xe2\x80\x99s Capital Markets lending business.

What will you do?

Complete financial and risk analysis on companies within RBCCM\xe2\x80\x99s loan portfolio, used in preparation of Global Credit\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cCredit Concern Report\xe2\x80\x9d.

Manage the Early Warnings (\xe2\x80\x9cTrigger\xe2\x80\x9d) process, which screens the loan portfolio to identify credits at risk of downward migration. Lead process improvements and efficiencies associated with this process.

Present materials on a weekly basis to senior members of RBCCM.

Mine and manipulate data on the loan portfolio to provide ad hoc analysis as required by senior members of RBCCM.

Provide leadership, guidance and expertise to LPM team members, and Global Credit colleagues.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

Completed an Undergraduate Degree or a post-graduate degree with a focus in business, economics, mathematics or other quantitative field.

Experience evaluating credit risk, ideally across multiple industries.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High level of proficiency working with data and databases (i.e. Excel, Microsoft Access).

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of loan documentation and covenant reporting

Knowledge of MS Access and quantitative tools

Experience with SQL and VBA
