ABOUT THE ROLE

The Vice President, Enterprise Analytics & Enablement is a strategic leader responsible for unifying and advancing SOCAN's data analytics capabilities while driving enterprise-wide performance improvement. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role leverages data and insights to inform decision-making, enhance organizational effectiveness, and support business transformation across the organization. The VP oversees all data analytics platforms and leads the full data product lifecycle--from identifying opportunities and designing solutions to implementation, data governance and security, and continuous improvement.

In addition to leading a high-performing analytics team, the VP also spearheads a business enablement function focused on cross-functional process design, performance optimization, and the implementation of best practices. This individual acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership, championing a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Through integrated analytics and process innovation, the VP enhances organizational agility, maturity, and long-term value creation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the evolution of data and analytics maturity within the organization to establish a centralized business intelligence model with advanced analytics capabilities and strong data integrity and protection practices. Serve as the product owner of all data and analytics platforms, ensuring that the analytics needs of all SOCAN departments and subsidiaries while delivering real-time, actionable insights to drive decision making. Build strong relationships with senior leaders to understand strategic priorities and help them leverage data for forecasting, decision-making, performance optimization, and identifying new business opportunities. Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the analytics team ensuring alignment of data initiatives with enterprise goals and cross-functional collaboration. Drive high impact analytics initiatives that support key strategic objectives, including member engagement and value creation, distribution rule changes, and data delivery enhancements. Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise analytics strategy and roadmap to inform decision-making, foster innovation, and support long-term business growth and operational excellence. Lead the business enablement function, focused on end-to-end process design, performance optimization, and the implementation of best practices and standards across the organization. Present complex analytical findings and insights to the executive and board of directors in a clear, compelling manner, translating data into strategic recommendations. Oversee the development and maintenance of SOCAN's analytics infrastructure, including vendor management and tool selection, and platform optimization. Standardize reporting tools and outputs by establishing style guides and templates to ensure clarity, consistency and usability across the organization. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and innovation. Collaborate with Finance to manage the department budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost optimization. Represent SOCAN at industry events and conferences, promoting the organization's analytics vision and capabilities. Act as the public face of analytics for the organization, engaging with high-profile stakeholders, media, and industry panels. Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and process optimization.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics is preferred, including at least 7 years in a leadership role managing high performing teams. Proven experience developing and executing enterprise-wide data strategies that drive business transformation and measurable performance improvements. Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience designing cloud solutions using Azure data services (such as Data Factory, Synapse, and Azure SQL), Databricks for scalable data processing, and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate) for business intelligence. Familiarity with CRM systems and data integration across business functions. Deep understanding of modern analytics methodologies, data governance and cybersecurity. Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with business leaders to optimize processes and enable strategic decision-making. Strong interpersonal, communication, and change management skills, with a track record of fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Experience in the music industry or a related field, preferred.
