Department Overview

TD Securities is one of Canada\'s most active dealers in Debt and Equity products. Corporate Credit is our team of in-house credit assessment professionals. They work closely with our Investment Banking and Sales and Trading teams, as credit is an integral part of many of our institutional client initiatives. Our credit team is involved in the origination of business and responsible for the analysis, risk assessment and ongoing monitoring of these credit transactions.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years corporate credit / debt experience, or other relevant experience in capital markets
• Experience in capital markets, and corporate debt markets. Direct experience in Fund Finance or Subscription Lending considered an asset
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, financial, and written communication skills
• Need to be well-organized, detail oriented, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines, and establish priorities with minimal supervision. Having a strong work ethic is a must
• Proactive and highly motivated towards team and personal improvement and growth
• Able to work in a team environment with a focus on coaching and developing junior professionals while being able to work independently
• CA or CFA considered an asset

• Leading the execution and portfolio management efforts for a group of corporate and private equity sponsor relationships with an additional focus on Fund level financings for sponsors and asset managers
• Managing a team of junior professionals while providing leadership guidance and judgement
• Structuring new credit debt transactions, supporting team\'s client development and relationship coverage
• Provide deep and rigorous analysis of the various risks related to new transactions and existing loans including deep market, industry, and client research and risk analysis
• Prepare recommendations for written credit submissions including new business, annual and interim client reviews
• Build an external and internal network of professionals with the potential to evolve into a client facing origination role over time.
• Work closely with Investment Banking, and other product groups, including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Derivatives, Cash Management and Foreign Exchange to ensure that cross sell opportunities are being developed and captured
