Veterinary Technician - Peach City Animal Hospital | Penticton, BC

Peach City Animal Hospital is a modern, growing small-animal (cats & dogs) hospital located in beautiful Penticton, BC -- known for its lakes, wineries, outdoor recreation, and excellent work-life balance. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team.

This role plays a critical part in providing high-quality patient care, supporting veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures, and delivering an excellent client experience. The successful candidate will be motivated, adaptable, and committed to practicing veterinary medicine at a high standard in a supportive, team-based environment

Key Responsibilities

Safely restrain, handle, and care for animal patients. Must be able to lift and handle animals and equipment, occasionally up to 25-30?kg or more. Assist veterinarians before, during, and after medical, surgical, and dental procedures Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in patient condition Collect, prepare, and process laboratory samples Assist with diagnostic imaging (X-rays) and equipment operation Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment Support reception and clerical duties as needed

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Veterinary Technology, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, or a related field Small-animal experience is an asset; new veterinary graduates are welcome, and mentorship is available to support NAVLE or CPE preparation Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Schedule

Full-time or Part-time, Permanent 8-hour or 10-hour shifts Day, evening, and weekend shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$33.98 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
