Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. You will be responsible for assisting with examinations, performing laboratory tests, and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess excellent technical skills.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian Monitor animal patients before, during, and after procedures Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments Provide compassionate care to animals in distress

Skills

Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal behavior Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners Must have completed Veterinary Technician program Completed and passed VTNE exam or plans to complete Must have valid work permit
