Job Description
We are an AAHA-accredited privately owned veterinary clinic in Chilliwack looking for a veterinary technician. Past experience and knowledge of Avimark software along with good computer skills would be considered an asset. The
job description
includes but not limited to:- Assisting the veterinarian in a range of veterinary services including physical examinations, surgeries and dentistry.
- Pre-surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care.
- Performing prophylactic dentistry such as dental scaling/polishing/non-surgical extractions etc.
- Performing diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, radiography, venipuncture and running blood chemistry/hematology and urinalysis on our in-house lab equipment.
- Maintaining and updating daily patient records on Avimark veterinary software.
- Ensuring all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored.
Job qualifications: Veterinary Technician Diploma (RVT/AHT) but unlicensed technicians with relevant past experience would be considered as well.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
