Veterinary Technician
Job Description
Animal Hospital of Bowmanville is seeking a confident, passionate, detail oriented Veterinary Technician to join our growing practice. The ideal person works well in a team environment as well as individually. Avimark experience required. We are offering a Part-Time/Full-Time position that requires availability to work Days, and the odd Evening/Saturday shift (flexible scheduling available).
Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:
Restraint of Cats and Dogs
Assisting in daily upkeep and cleaning of the clinic
Answering phone calls and client questions/Client Education
Use of Avimark to book appointments, invoicing, make estimates etc.
Assisting clients
Assisting DVM with exams and patients
Handling/Processing lab samples (Blood, Urine and Fecal Samples)
Anesthesia, Surgical Maintenance, Intubation and Catheterization
Digital Radiography and Radiography Referrals
Monitoring/Care of Hospitalization Patients
Handling/Dispensing Patient Medications/Injections
Helping in the day to day aspects of the veterinary clinic
Qualifications:
1 Year Veterinary Technician experience in a Veterinary Clinic
Proficient computer skills; Using Excel, Microsoft and Avimark (or similar veterinary program)If you think you are a good fit and would benefit from working in a close-knit, compassionate small animal clinic, please send us a copy of your cover letter and resume.
