We are seeking an experienced dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals and preparing necessary equipment. Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood draws and sample collection, while ensuring accurate documentation. Maintain cleanliness in examination rooms, surgical areas, and animal housing facilities to uphold health standards. Monitor animal behavior and vital signs before, during, and after procedures to ensure their well-being. Provide clients with information on pet care, medications, and post-operative instructions as directed by the veterinarian. Assist in the administration of medications and vaccinations under the supervision of licensed veterinary staff. Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Laboratory experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with common veterinary diagnostic procedures. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Compassionate demeanor towards animals, showcasing empathy in stressful situations. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
