is seeking a Veterinary Technical Assistant (VTA) to join our growing team in Sundre, Alberta. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a modern mixed animal practice, located in our brand-new facility opened in December 2024.
VTAs are a vital part of both our patient care and client service teams -- ensuring the clinic operates smoothly, efficiently, and professionally each day. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a team setting, and values collaboration, communication, and kindness.
What You'll Do:
Assist with animal restraint, patient prep, and recovery support
Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms, kennels, and surgical areas
Perform daily sanitation, laundry, and equipment preparation tasks
Support the front-end team as needed, including:
Answering phones and assisting with lunch coverage
Greeting and intaking clients
Generating and processing invoices
Providing professional and timely communication
Restock supplies and help maintain clinic organization
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment preferred
Confidence supporting both medical and client care responsibilities
Strong attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and team workflow
Professional, calm communicator -- especially during busy times
Able to work rotating Saturdays and flexible weekday hours
Reliable transportation to our Sundre location
