Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and a solid understanding of veterinary practices. This role involves assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals, ensuring their comfort and safety during examinations and treatments.

Duties

Assist veterinarians/technicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and sterilized. Handle and restrain animals safely to facilitate examinations and treatments. Maintain cleanliness in the clinic, including kennels, examination rooms, and surgical areas. Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any concerns to the veterinarian. Support the veterinary team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Helping reception answering phone calls and client inquiries

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in veterinary technology or related field is a plus. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred. Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients and pets alike. Proficient in using office equipment and software applications; experience with veterinary management software is advantageous. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 36 per week
