We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal care and are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals as needed.
Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as collecting samples and conducting routine tests.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
Provide compassionate care to animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising them as required.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments administered.
Assist with client communication by providing information about pet care and answering questions.
Skills
Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required; laboratory experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently.
Manage multiple phone lines, voicemails, and email inquiries.
Process payments, handle billing, and maintain accurate client records.
Prepare, organize, and update patient files with medical histories and documents.
Support veterinarians and technicians by coordinating patient flow and managing appointment times.
Ensure the reception & treatment areas are tidy, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
