Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Oak Bay Pet Clinic. In this role, you will support our veterinary staff in providing high-quality care to our patients, contributing to the overall well-being of pets in our community.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Provide compassionate care to animals during their visits. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' health and treatment plans. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments.

Requirements

Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively. Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures is an asset. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
