Summary

We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant / Tech to join our team at Avon Animal Hospital in the heart of our community. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our veterinary staff and ensuring the highest standard of care for our animal patients.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility Handle and restrain animals safely Prepare and administer medications as directed by veterinarians Assist with laboratory tests and procedures Educate pet owners on proper animal care Support the veterinary team in daily operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience minimum of one year or any course in veterinary as a Veterinary Assistant or Tech or in a similar role is required Strong knowledge of animal husbandry and veterinary terminology Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately Excellent communication skills with pet owners and team members Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus Certification as a Veterinary Technician is an advantage but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
