Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist - Join Our Team at Peach City Animal Hospital

Peach City Animal Hospital, a privately owned general practice opening soon in Penticton, BC, is dedicated to providing exceptional care for canine and feline patients across the Okanagan. We will be open 7 days a week from 8 am to 10 pm, and we're currently looking for full-time Veterinary Assistant/Receptionists to join our growing team.

As a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service to our clients and their beloved pets. You'll be responsible for managing front desk operations, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, assisting with administrative tasks, and helping the veterinarian with patient handling and treatment. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will be crucial to the success of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check-in clients and their pets in a warm and professional manner Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to client inquiries Maintain accurate client and pet records, including medical history and appointment details Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and billing Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring a positive experience Attend to patient needs, including administering medications, offering food/water, etc. Assist veterinarians and technicians with animal restraint during exams and treatments Ensure kennels and working areas are clean and organized at all times

Experience & Skills:

Animal handling experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Customer service experience Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage stressful or difficult situations with professionalism Proficient computer skills for managing medical records Prior veterinary clinic or animal care experience is preferred Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is a plus

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
