Veterinary Assistant (Urgent & Primary Care)

The Role

As a Veterinary Assistant at Petzoic, you'll work side-by-side with our veterinarians in both Urgent Care and Primary Care settings. You'll gain exposure to medicine, client service, and hospital operations--all while making a meaningful impact on pets and their families.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting veterinarians in exam rooms with SOAP templates, treatment plans, invoices, and medications. Preparing exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment for procedures. Providing hands-on care before, during, and after exams and treatments. Supporting diagnostic procedures (X-rays, lab work). Communicating with clients, including education, follow-up calls, and care instructions. Managing email correspondence, scheduling, and client records. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment. Cross-training and collaborating with VTAs and VMRs for smooth workflow.
What We're Looking For

A strong interest in veterinary medicine and animal care. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Calm and adaptable in a fast-paced hospital environment. Veterinary medical terminology and prior clinic experience are required.
