Our last posting did not result in a new hire and we are actively searching for an experienced Veterinary Assistant.

We're a small independently owned clinic in the Beach area of Toronto looking for an

experienced veterinary assistant to join our team.

Working with our vets, technicians and customer care resources you'll provide medical support such as assisting in surgery (2 - 3 x a week), restraining pets for bloodwork and administrative tasks: updating medical records, communicating with clients and the maintenance of facility equipment.

We're offering a competitive hourly rate with consideration to experience, paid vacation and statutory holidays. Weekday shifts start at 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. and evening shifts are from 2 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in addition to one Saturday per month from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. We are offering 27.5 hours per week to start with the opportunity to take on vacation and absence coverage as you grow into the role.

What we're looking for:

- you have at least 2 years experience in the role of veterinary assistant.

- completion of a Vet Assistant program would be great but not required.

- you are able to communicate in a clear, friendly manner to our clients.

- you are ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kg

- you are able to work independently as well as part of a team.

- you're a mature and responsible individual, able to work in Toronto.
