Job Description
Caring for pets since 1983, Sussex Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility. We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant that would love working alongside a passionate team.
The Position:
We are looking for a part time Veterinary Assistant that can start ASAP. The ideal candidate enjoys learning and wants to grow into a rewarding career. We are looking for someone who is motivated, caring, and willing to go above and beyond for our clients and their furry family members.
Your contributions:
Daily operations of opening and closing the clinic.
Managing incoming calls
Problem solver and confident in trouble shooting
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Help to manage the flow of a busy hospital
Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Working alongside excellent mentors
Able to handle animals with ease
Cleaning, including patient care, laundry, post surgical instrument care
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year Experience with animals
Excellent communication and listening skills
Compassion for people and their pets
The ability to lift 50lbs
Experience:
Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
Willing to train on the job
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.50-$25.40 per hour
