Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary team. This role involves providing support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the well-being of our animal patients. Experience in laboratory procedures is a plus, but training will be provided for specific tasks. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional veterinary environment.

Duties

Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment Hold animals safely during procedures to minimize stress and injury Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories Monitor animals' health status and report any concerns to veterinary staff Support laboratory work by processing samples and maintaining lab equipment Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals and support pet owners as needed

Requirements

Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for laboratory procedures Compassionate attitude toward animals and pet owners Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills Ability to handle animals safely and calmly in stressful situations Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
