Bay City Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate

Veterinary Assistant

to join our close-knit, independently owned practice in beautiful

North Bay, Ontario

What You'll Do:

Complete in-house lab work (urinalysis, cytology, fecals, bloodwork) Assist doctors in exam rooms during appointments Assist RVTs in surgery prep and recovery Restraining animals under the direction of the Veterinarian or RVT Minor bathing, grooming Feeding and providing clean water to animals under the direction of Veterinarians and RVTs Exercising animals and responsible for bringing animal outdoors for bathroom breaks Occasional reception duties Experience a wide range of urgent and emergency cases--no two days are the same. Provide top-notch care to in-hospital patients and support overnight monitoring (shared on-call rotation), helping you build strong clinical skills fast. Maintain equipment and ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the hospital Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver high-quality patient care

Schedule:

Full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday) On-call: 4 weekends/year + 1 weeknight every 4-6 weeks
