Veterinary Assistant/Technician

We are a small animal practice located in Barrhaven looking for a positive, outgoing, and enthusiastic veterinary assistants to add to our team.

This position is Full time. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9AM - 6PM.

Applicants will be working in all areas of the clinic.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Providing excellent customer service to our clients both in person and over the phone. Compassionate and competent patient care, handling, and restraint. Assisting in radiography and surgery as appropriate to the level of training and experience. Assisting DVM in appointments and to staff as needed. General housekeeping duties.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Administrative duties such as preparing invoices, collecting payments, and filing. Must be comfortable working with and handling large dogs and fractious cats. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Able to handle stressful situations. Ability to adhere to professional ethics and confidentiality. Clinic environment experience is considered an asset.*
Experience with Avimark is considered an asset.*

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
