Veterinary Assistant

We are looking to add a

permanent full-time veterinary assistant

to our growing team!

Must be available for MINIMUM 36 hours per week.

We are a large 24 hour practice located in the beautiful south end of Guelph, Ontario providing both routine care and emergency and referral services for small animals and exotics.

This is a permanent position that requires shift flexibility. Shift rotations :

weekdays, weekends, daytime, evening and overnight.

Previous veterinary or animal related experience preferred, but is not necessary as we are willing to train the right candidate for the position.

Interest in working more consistent evening and late night hours an asset.

Our veterinary assistants are a key part of our care team providing support to our veterinary technicians, veterinarians and front end team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and an ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment. Duties include but are not limited to: animal restraint, surgery set up, exam room assistance, hospital maintenance and organization, cleaning, feeding and reception task coverage.
