Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. This role involves assisting with patient care, maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, and supporting laboratory procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments Perform basic animal care: feeding, bathing, cleaning cages, monitoring patients Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment Communicate with clients with empathy and professionalism Prepare medications, lab samples, and necessary supplies Support daily clinic operations as needed
Qualifications
Strong communication skills and a caring attitude towards animals and clients Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to handle animals gently and confidently during examinations and procedures Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
