The Avon animal Hospital has an opening for a part time /(LOCUM)/ full time Veterinarian . We are a privately owned small animal clinic ( Dogs and cats only) in Surrey on Fraser Hwy on surrey and Langley border. Our location provides easy commute to & from most parts of Vancouver and lower mainland .
We're well equipped and Continuing investments in new technologies, advanced diagnostics, and modern facilities including digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, laser therapy , Video-otoscope , ultrasound and in-house lab testing. Our Veterinarian hours are 9am-8 pm . Remuneration & benefits will be discussed with applicants.
``Duties:```
- Examine animals and diagnose their health problems
- Perform medical procedures, such as vaccinations, surgeries, and dental work
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures
- Conduct laboratory tests to assist in diagnosing illnesses
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
```Requirements:```
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- State licensure to practice veterinary medicine
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with pet owners and staff members
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
